Agricenter International is the world’s largest urban agricultural research and education facility.  For over 30 years, this self-sustaining, non-profit organization in Memphis, TN has provided economic development and improved quality of life by facilitating agricultural research and educational programs.  Agricenter is a hands-on showcase for how production agriculture provides a safe and abundant global food and fiber supply.

Agricenter International is a leader in agricultural field crop research. Through its work with agribusiness, university systems, and government and non-government organizations, Agricenter provides a professional forum for the unbiased development, evaluation, demonstration, education, and marketing of the latest and most advanced agricultural technologies and products.

 

Agricenter's Vision: Provide educational opportunities built on the ideals that students remember more through experiential learning. Over 4,000 students from the Mid-South visit Agricenter International annually to learn about agriculture and the environment.

Agricenter's educational programs focus on agriculture, forestry, and other natural resources and their relationship to the environment. The programs are designed to provide students with valuable and enjoyable experiences that enhances understanding of science and the great outdoors. 

All programs for schools are free. For those schools who cannot afford the transportation, a bus scholarship (reimbursement) is available for the bus rental.

Agricenter International has 1,000 acres south of Walnut Grove Road with 600 dedicated to research and production crops.

Agricenter International operates under a conservation easement.  Each fall, after the Corn Maze is closed, Agricenter and their tenant, Ducks Unlimited, partner to flood the corn field to provide waterfowl habitat to migratory birds.  The field can be seen from the Observation Tower adjacent to Germantown Parkway.  The ADA accessible tower is open to the public year-round and equipped with free high-powered binoculars.
