Mission Education

The charge of Agricenter International is to provide education and awareness in Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resources to the public.  It is our goal that Agricenter be utilized as an outdoor classroom for Memphis and the entire Mid-South!

PROGRAM INFORMATION

All programs are offered at no cost.  The programs can accommodate up to six classes at one time.  Most programs have different stations and each class rotates through the stations.  Some programs are limited by time of the year while others are offered year-round.   Agricenter offers to schools and teachers many great programs within their curricula to demonstrate the importance of agriculture, forestry, and natural resources and its relationship to the environment.   The programs have been created to relate to the State Science Curriculum and what teachers are teaching in the classroom.

BUS SCHOLARSHIPS

Bus scholarships are available for schools to cover the cost of busing.  Schools should schedule the busing for their class or classes.  If a school is using a service other than the normal bus service used to deliver students to school, prior arrangements with Agricenter’s Educator, Tim Roberts, must be made.

Programming can be tailored to assist teachers with specific areas of their curriculum. For details on additional educational opportunities at Agricenter, please contact Tim Roberts by or call him at (901)757-7777, extension 7109.
