Farm Education Day
Wednesday, October 9, 2019
This annual event for 4th graders will teach students about the different aspects of agriculture. One stop is at the farm machinery to see how large it looks up close and to learn how cotton is picked. At another station you will see animals from chickens to horses; you might even get to pet a chicken and see the different types of eggs they lay. Students will walk inside the building to see forestry and learn all about trees. Did you know we eat cotton? Did you know we can fuel our cars with soybeans? Students will learn about the products that come from cotton, corn, and soybeans. They will learn about all the vegetables that can be grown.
