Zong Vue’s father started this family owned and operated farm in 1984 in Middleton, TN after immigrated to the United States as a refugee from Laos. They were sponsored by a Tennessee family who opened their home to them and helped them get established in a brand new environment but his father found he did not make enough money in the factory to support his family. As the elder Mr. Vue was a rice producer in Laos, he turned to farming for supplemental income. From there he worked hard to establish a family farm of his own that produces over 90% of its produce on site. Today, Mr. Vue is 94 years old and still farms his land. Zong and his wife Maya farm and sell produce at the market and they appreciates the wonderful selling venue it provides. They enjoy being able to interact with their customers daily and provide them with a product they are truly proud of. Read the story in the Memphis Business Journal here.

Ripley Produce is a 3rd generation, family-owned farming business that’s known for its delicious and juicy tomatoes. Current owner, Robert Tims, remembers working the land with his grandfather and cousins and selling wholesale to stores in and around the Memphis area. Today, Mr. Tims enjoys the freedom that comes with being able to sell directly to customers. He began selling at our farmer’s market around 2002 and has been here with us ever since. When asked about his favorite thing to grow and sell he immediately replied, tomatoes. His recommendations are the Cherokee purple, bradley, and mountain spring varieties in that order.
Owned and operated by Wayne & Clara Oswald
The Oswald family has been raising peaches in Tennessee since the early 1950’s and today their farm is located in Nutbush, Haywood County. Peach World get its name from the over 2,500 peach trees they have on their 90 acre farm. The Oswalds have been selling produce at Agricenter since the first day the market opened June 2, 1986 and have been an extremely popular vendor ever since.
Wayne and Clara Oswald farm, pick, package and sell produce at Agricenter Farmer’s market. Wayne learned how to farm from watching his father as a child and has been in the farming industry ever since. What started off as only peach trees has expanded to over 30 varieties of produce including peas, tomatoes, squash, okra and many more. They are proud to be able to provide fresh, farm raised produce to their customers six days a week. Clara hopes to continue to see the Farmer’s Market grow their market base to provide even more citizens of Tennessee with the fresh fruits and veggies.

Sandy’s Farm is a family owned and operated farm located in Meadon, TN. It was started by Mrs. Sandy Lee with the help of her husband about two years ago after spending her whole life watching and helping her parents farm as a child. Sandy began selling her own produce at the Agricenter Farmer’s Market last summer, but had prior experience selling alongside her parents who have had a vending spot here for years. Her favorite part of being an Agricenter Farmer’s Market vendor is the friendly customer interaction. She grew up getting to know many of our regular patrons and enjoys getting to see them every week. “Many of our customers are like friends who shop with us regularly and remember me when I was just a little girl” she said when asked about her relationship to the Farmer’s Market. You can find Sandy and her family selling delicious peaches, and many other fruits and vegetables here six days a week.
Ly Vu’s family farm was started in 1985 in Meadon, TN. Ly worked hard to make a better life for his family after emigrating as a refugee from Laos during the Vietnam War. He met his wife, also from Laos, in the US and the couple purchased land and originally only grew zucchini. The family farmed part time and sold their produce to wholesale companies for supplemental income. They decided to farm full time in 2000 adding corn, beans, and other squash to their selection. The Agricenter Farmer’s Market helped Ly and his family to make the decision to farm full time because they knew they’d have an established venue in which to sell. Today their six children help with harvesting, planting, and selling their produce here at Agricenter. You can often find Mrs. Vu and her oldest son talking and engaging with their customers.Their favorite part of being a vendor at Agricenter is the customer interaction; being able to meet and greet others and exchange stories about all types of things in addition to gardening tips and tricks.
Owned and operated by Lee and Juanita Jones
Jones Orchard was started in Millington, TN in 1940 by the late HL Jones. He originally went door-to-door in Millington selling his sweet peaches and making a name for himself. From there HL Jones grew his original four varieties of peaches into a full orchard of more than 10,000 peach trees on 110 acres of his 600 acre farm. Today the farm produces strawberries, apples, pears, nectarines, plums, blackberries, blueberries, and pumpkins of different varieties throughout the growing season. It was passed down from HL Jones to his son, current owner, Lee Jones and his wife Juanita. Together they manage the farm and its two markets with the help of their son Henry and his wife. Jones Orchard makes homemade jellies, jams, preserves, and delectable baked goods in addition to their fresh, ripe produce. They have been selling their goods here at the Agricenter Farmer’s Market for many years and we are proud to have them!
Yia Lor's family farm is in Middleton, TN and he has been vending at the Farmer's Market for more than 5 years. He grew up on a farm in Laos and moved to America in the 1980s. Yia enjoys interacting with his customers as well as the other farmers at the market.

Ted’s passion is providing customers with fresh, wild caught seafood straight from the beautiful waters of the Atlantic. Daily catch of Paradise Seafood is available Wednesdays through Saturdays only. In the fall they move to an every-other-week schedule. One of their more popular items is the smoked tuna dip (one of Ted's creations) as well as Cajun Season Jumbo Shrimp, and both are well-deserving of their popularity. Ted also offers homemade crab cakes that are conveniently offered frozen, along with some irregulars like frozen alligator meat and alligator sausage.
