Agricenter ShowPlace Arena Hosting

International Barrel Racing Association’s National Finals


MEMPHIS, TN – All this week, the International Barrel Racing Association (IBRA) competition will be going on at the ShowPlace Arena.  This competition attracts over 800 contestants from 15 states and Canada. 

International Barrel Racing Association Director Shane Cline said, “We have been very pleased with having the Finals here at ShowPlace Arena in Memphis.  The facility has been outstanding and many of our contestants have complimented the work that the Agricenter management and staff have done.”   

This event has an economic impact of over $1,102,500 for the local economy. Equestrian competitions and other activities at the ShowPlace Arena draw many travelling tourists which is important to the Tennessee economy.  Spectators are welcome and admission is free.  The races run from 10 am until 10 pm each day and will continue through Saturday. 

ShowPlace Arena Manager, Jamie White added, “We are honored the IBRA chose ShowPlace Arena to host their national competition and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.” 

ShowPlace Arena, run by Agricenter International, averages 212 event days and draws more than 200,000 visitors annually. Equestrian shows, fairs, circuses, and rodeos all use the arena.  With the modular flooring, the arena is also ideal for trade shows, concerts, and graduations.
