Agricenter’s Agriculture Field Day Connect Youth with Careers

MEMPHIS, TN – This Wednesday, 250 students from area high schools will attend Agricenter’s annual Agriculture Field Day (formerly called FFA Field Day).  This program is designed to introduce youth to the many agricultural job opportunities that are available and to interact with colleges.

Media is welcome to attend September 24, 2019 from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm in the Expo Center.

Tim Roberts, Agricenter’s Director of Education, stated, “This event connects high school students with opportunities that await them if they pursue an agricultural path.  There are many jobs in agriculture that do not have enough qualified graduates to fill.”

The field day showcases careers in agriculture.  The goal is to show the possibilities students have for occupations in the field of agriculture.  Students will rotate from station to station to network with professionals and companies involved in agriculture.  They will also visit with several colleges and universities with agricultural degrees to help further their education in agriculture.
